The DUR’s fuel plant could certainly stack up to make it the ideal ship for nomads who just really don’t want to see civilization for very long stretches of time, or for really long duration missions. ![]() We don’t know yet how the DUR’s mini refinery will stack up compared to the 400i’s advertised long range, efficient engines, and better crew appointments.It may be a huge advantage for some missions / locations for people who enjoy exploration gameplay. This could mean that the DUR / Terrapin can traverse the PU in ways the 400i can’t. It’s already been said by the dev team that the biggest ship planned to be able to traverse the smallest wormholes is the Freelancer Max.There’s 2 possibilities where the DUR and 400i might actually live with each other. Fingers crossed the re work amends a few of the issues internally. I ccu'd my msr to it early last year and don't have a single regret. Trick is to keep your distance, decouple and fly backwards. With combat if you get the jump on them your enemy is as good as dead. Also a little drifty when turning but you adjust over time. There's a few quirks with piloting, super slow to stop so you have to adjust for that. With room for a roc or other vehicles she's a joy to fly. The shield pool is pretty large and puts most people off from engaging. X3 size 5s and 16 missiles make quick work of hammerheads. ![]() If gimbals weren't stuffed they're great for taking out light fighters. Quick and easy access to the bridge via the elevator, no mess and no fuss.ĭecent firepower to smash out bounties. Yes she's expensive to buy and probably not really worth the real dollar value.īut that cockpit is such a joy to see out of and you actually feel like a captain. If you mostly play solo the 600i is a solid choice.
